![]() Huge mech-like dogs moving with extreme attention to detail, whilst Monkey’s level traversal is as flowing as watching a real ape scale a tree. The animations of the characters, of both the main protagonists and the enemy characters, move in a seamless and flowing motion across the world. One thing that will immediately grab your attention is that, despite being set in this dystopian setting, how green and vibrant the world is with bright colours and sweeping vistas that make the destroyed world look beautiful in its own disturbing yet fascinating way. The game itself is set in a futuristic post-apocalyptic setting in which planet earth has been devastated by some unknown events leaving nature and the sinister ‘mechs’ to reclaim vast cities which are left to crumble and decay. ![]() This is an absolute crime considering this was perhaps the best single player, story driven experience that was produced on either the 360 or the PS4. The marketing department also did relatively little to push this game, with little to no press or hype created around it. This in part was perhaps due to the nature of it being a completely new IP, that focused solely on single-player, in a market that at the time was obsessed with multi-player FPS shooters.
